Sleepless in Saigon

Saigon, Vietnam in 1972 - Phil, a handsome Vietnamese tailor measures a beautiful Vietnamese woman, Ai Van, in his high-end tailor shop. Suddenly, an American customer enters the store - Scott Larson. There is an instant connection between Phil and Scott. As Phil measures Ai Van, she asks if Scott is Phil's type. Afraid that the others will find out about his sexual orientation, Phil quickly tells Ai Van to keep her voice down. Ai Van tells Phil that if he has a shot at love then he should take it. Since Ai Van doesn't get to choose who she marries, she encourages Phil to take his chance and make the first move with Scott. After Phil and Scott formally greet each other, Phil invites Scott to join him for lunch. The two bond over an intimate lunch in the shop. Later, Scott expresses that he needs a suit made for a relative’s birthday party. Phil proceeds to measure Scott and sexual tension builds between the men throughout the measuring process. Based on the true story of how the actors - playing themselves - Phil and Scott met. The film premiered at their wedding in 2023.
